Kalaheo's Pete Smith Classic set for Dec. 16


The 16-team Pete Smith Classic boys' basketball tournament is set for Dec. 16 to Dec. 20 at Kalaheo.

The Kalaheo-sponsored tournament is named for the late and winningest Kalaheo coach Pete Smith.

Here is the first-round schedule.

McKinley vs. Campbell, 5 p.m.

Dec. 17
Damien vs. Southern Okanagan (Canada), 3:30 p.m.
Farrington vs. Kamehameha II, 5 p.m.
Castle vs. Punahou, 6:30 p.m.
Terry Fox (Canada) vs. Mililani
Dec. 18
Consolation games, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Championship bracket games, 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Dec. 19
Consolation games, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Championship bracket games, 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Dec. 20
Consolation games, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
