Five recent Hawaii high school graduates have been tabbed in Baseball America's top 500 projected picks in this week's Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft.Waiakea left-handed pitcher Kodi Medeiros is ranked 32 to lead the Hawaii contingent. He is followed by Punahou catcher KJ Harrision (138), Saint Louis pitcher Jordan Yamamoto (339), Saint Louis outfielder Devan Stubblefield (423) and Hilo outfielder Jodd Carter (468).
NOTE: The slot projections were updated by Baseball America on Tuesday: Medeiros is still No. 32; Harrison is 149, Yamamoto is 345, Stubblefield is 428 and Carter is 473.
The first two rounds, as well as compensatory picks, will be held Thursday. Friday will have rounds three to 10. The draft concludes Saturday with rounds 11 to 40.
