Waianae has been awarded the top seed for the eight-team Wally Yonamine Foundation Division II state baseball tournament, the Hawaii High School Athletic Association announced.Maryknoll is seeded second, Molokai third and Kapaa fourth.The tournament will be held at Hans L'Orange Park in Waipahu.In Thursday's quarterfinals, Kamehameha-Hawaii will play Kapaa at 10 a.m., Radford will meet Molokai at 1 p.m., Kaimuki will face Waianae at 4 p.m. and Konawaena will take on Maryknoll at 7 p.m.The semifinals will run at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. Friday with the championship set for 6 p.m. Saturday.
The Division I seeds will be announced later. The Big Island Interscholastic Federation championship between Waiakea and Hilo was to be played at noon Sunday to determine the league champion that gets the seeded berth. The game was scheduled for Saturday, but was rained out.
