The Mules are heading back to states.
Leilehua outscored Kalaheo in every of quarter of play en route to a 63-50 win in the quarterfinals of the OIA Division I playoffs, placing the Mules into the playoff semifinals and securing a state tournament berth in the process.
Twain Wilson had 18 points and hit all eight of his free throws in the win for Mules, who also got 14 big points off the bench from Ui Muti.
Kalaheo's Jaron Gilmore finished with 18 points and CJ Bostic also reached double figures with 11.
Gilmore was a perfect 6 of 6 on free throws, but as team Kalaheo made just 13 of 19, compared to 10 of 14 for the Mules.
Every player who checked in to the contest made a basket for both teams, though Kalaheo only played on off its bench. The Mules subbed three.
Kalaheo can still qualify for the postseason with a win on Thursday against Campbell.
