MANOA — Kamehameha is going to the title game.

Kiani-Taylor Soller pitched a complete game and was backed by steady offense from her teammates to carry the No. 3 Waianae past No. 2 Waianae, 10-4, in the late semifinal at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium Thursday night.

The win puts the Warriors (14-5) into Friday's final game of the DataHouse/HHSAA Division I Softball State Championships, where they will face top-ranked Campbell at 7 p.m.

Kamehameha posted nine hits — two apiece by Mariah Antoque (2 for 4, double, two RBI, two runs), Loganne Cambra (2 for 4, run) and Mikaela Scarborough (2 for 3, RBI, run) — and took advantage of four errors by the Seariders (12-4).

Miquela Leopoldo also doubled, drew a walk, drove in three runs and scored twice in the win.

Teizsha Kaopuiki batted 2 for 3 with a walk and a run scored and Moani Ioane went 2 for 3 with a walk and an RBI for Waianae.

Jerzie Liana took the loss for the Seariders. She was tagged for 10 runs, five earned, on nine hits with four walks and three strikeouts.

Kamehameha will try for its ninth state championship and first since 2008.
