Punahou sweeps Track and Field championships


 



Punahou ended the final state tournament of the 2017-2018 prep sports season in dominating fashion.

The Buffanblu finished at the top in both the final boys and girls team rankings to add to their state championship total Saturday night at the Island Movers Track and Field Championships at Kunuiakea Stadium on the campus of Kamehameha Schools Kapalama.

The Punahou boys team won with a score of 114, which was 64 more points than second place finisher Baldwin (50). It was the boys' second straight state title and 34th overall in school history.

Meanwhile, the Buffanblu girls team won with a score of 92 to claim its first title since 2013 and 36th overall. Seabury Hall took second place with a score of 61.
