After dropping the Interscholastic League of Honolulu opener, No. 4 Kamehameha won their third straight game after thumping host Iolani, 10-4 on Thursday afternoon.
The Warriors (3-1) create a three-way tie for first in the ILH standings. The Raiders dropped their third-straight game to fall to 1-3.
The first four batters in Kamehameha's lineup each scored two runs. Athan Kuewa batted 1-for-3 and drove in three runs, Dylan Salcedo went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a double.
The Warriors jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first inning and added four more runs in the second to take a 8-0 lead.
Iolani scored two runs in the bottom of the second and two more in the bottom of the fourth. Aaron Ujimori, who was beaned twice, scored two of the Raiders' four total runs.
Matthew Inaba and Shaydon Kubo each batted 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Chad Suga and Jordan Hara each added runs.
Javyn Pimental pitched 3 1/3 innings and allowed two earned runs for the win. Logan Yee pitched three innings and allowed six of Kamehameha's nine runs in the loss.
Kamehameha plays Maryknoll (1-3) at Central Oahu Regional Park on Mar. 10 while Iolani plays Mid-Pacific (1-3) on the same afternoon at Ala Wai field.
